Homework is up. As mentioned before in emails and in class, if you’ve already read and replied to the article previously, you don’t have to do it again. Shoot us an email letting us know you did do it so we can check. But do the reading, it might come up in the activity next week!

The first day of class will be held on January 26, 2010 in 223 Dwinelle at 5PM. The first day will only focus on the introduction and the sorting out of getting into the class.

Also, if you are interested, BookWorlds (student organization that made the Harry Potter DeCal) will have a first meeting on January 31st at 3PM. For the location/address, please email Dana at ioveender@yahoo.ie. Or you can RSVP HERE on Facebook. After the info session, we will have a book club and Out Loud Readers event. We will be discussing “Travels in the Scriptorium” by Paul Auster. It’s ok to join even if you haven’t read the book!

We will be taking off on the Hogwarts Express this coming Tuesday on February 2nd  at 5pm in 223 Dwnielle (there’s a platform there). Remember to sign in to keep your spot on the waiting list. There are lots of people on the waiting list, and it is based on first come, first served! We’ll try to consider those who have special circumstances, but it is NOT a guarantee.

If you cannot get into this semester’s DeCal, try again this coming Fall semester. Also, you can facilitate this class as well next semester or beyond. Check with BookWorlds for more information later this semester. You may also email us to put you on the BookWorlds list to keep you updated.
